Honeywell is the forerunner to develop new refrigerants which have low GWP to replace the traditional R134A, R404A and R410A high GWP refrigerants. This new series of HFO Blends are in mass production and widely used in the industry.

Honeywell’s new Solstice® ze Refrigerant (HFO-1234ze) is a sustainable alternative to traditional refrigerants (R134A) for energy-efficient chillers and/or commercial air conditioning in supermarkets and commercial buildings.

Honeywell’s new Solstice® yf Refrigerant (HFO-1234yf) is a sustainable alternative to traditional refrigerants (R134A) for automobile sector.

Genetron® Performax LT™ (R-407F) A long-term, non-ozone depleting replacement for R-22 in various air-conditioning applications and particularly for R404A in low temperature applications. Since Genetron Performax® LT is a close match to R-22/R404A it also serves as a retrofit fluid in applications where R-22/R404A is used.

Honeywell’s new Solstice® N40 Refrigerant (HFO-R448A) is an HFO blend designed to replace R-404A in low and medium temperature refrigeration equipment such as supermarket fridge and freezer cases and transport refrigeration. The superior energy efficiency of N40 makes it a clear winner compared to R404A.
